The Colorado Springs Sky Sox are the AAA top affiliate of the Milwakee Brewers. The Sky Sox were voted the Bob Frietas award winning Triple-A Organization of the Year courtesy of Baseball America in 2011.The 2012 Sky Sox baseball season was one of the most exciting and memorable in the organization's 25-year history as Sky Sox fans showed up in record numbers as the team drew 334,245 fans over 68 openings to mark the fourth season in a row that the franchise has eclipsed the 300,000 mark while also setting a new record of average attendance at 4,915 per game. The total attendance was the second most in team history, falling just short of the franchise record of 339,009 due to three openings being cancelled due to weather and one opening cancelled due to smoke from the Waldo Canyon Fire. The highest attended game during the season was 8,798 fans in attendance for the Military Jersey Auction on September 2nd and combined with the 8,790 fans that came out to see the Sky Sox annual event "Skyfest", the Sox set a new record for the largest back-to-back crowds in team history. The Sky Sox in August also welcomed their six millionth fan through the gates of Security Service Field!
