Besides being a short drive from everything that the city of Colorado Springs has to offer, there are a variety of things to do available right in Black Forest.

The wide open spaces and great outdoors is one of the most alluring aspects of Black Forest. With so much varying terrain surrounding the community, from mountains to rolling plains, there’s never a shortage of new adventures.

With the newly implemented Pineries Open Space Trail that winds through the community of Black Forest, connected to a larger network of hikes and pathways, the area offers the best trails in El Paso County. Biking and horseback riding is also a passion many can take advantage of on these trails.

Two of the most popular parks in the area are Black Forest Regional Park and Fox Fun Regional Park. The former is a developed area with tennis courts, turf fields, playgrounds, and more, while the latter is a great place for hiking and picnicking, with ponds, gazebos, and more along the way.
