About Constitution Hills, Colorado Springs

Constitution Hills is a large residential neighborhood located within the Powers Corridor area of eastern Colorado Springs. The boundaries of Constitution Hills are approximately North Carefree Circle to the north, Constitution Avenue to the south, Marksheffel Road to the east, and Sand Creek to the west.

Neighboring communities to Constitution Hills include Springs Ranch to the north, Cimarron Hills to the south, and Village Seven to the west. Downtown Colorado Springs is approximately 20 minutes away to the southwest, while the rugged outskirts of Colorado Springs are a short distance east. 

A minute or two west of Constitution Hills is the Powers Boulevard corridor which runs north to south in eastern Colorado Springs. This route has a large commercial area on its east side, including shopping, entertainment, and dining. 

The main thoroughfare through Constitution Hills is Peterson Road, which runs past the area’s two schools, and a number of entrances to the various smaller neighborhoods and enclaves of the community. 

Real Estate in Constitution Hills

Homes for sale in Constitution Hills are typically mid-sized, single family suburban homes on generously-sized lots. Most of these homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s, exhibiting many features typical of the time, including vinyl siding and faux-frame construction, offset entries, complex rooflines, and great windows including many of the Palladian style. Stucco and brick exteriors are also found in Constitution Hills, but the pale framing accents are definitely ubiquitous.

More specifically, homes in Constitution Hills range from 1,000 up to 3,000 square feet in size, although 2,000 square feet is a common average size. Three to four bedrooms are also common, making these homes great for families. 

Garages are attached and road facing, and large finished basements are also typical, making for an abundance of convenient storage. 

And all of this is located on winding streets and cul de sacs with mature trees, double sidewalks, and lush well-kept lawns. 

Constitution Hills also has some newer, higher density developments like the Cascades at Springs Ranch and a townhouse complex to the south. Overall, the homes and properties in Constitution Hills offer excellent value and an affordable way to gain a spacious family home in a convenient Colorado Springs location.

Amenities in Constitution Hills

Constitution Hills is an area with many amenities and community facilities, making it a great place to live for families. Constitution Hills is walkable, pet-friendly, and safe.

Sand Creek on the western edge of Constitution Hills has trails and a large golf course, and within Constitution Hills there are a number of parks like Springs Ranch Park, Fredericksburg Park, and Remington Park. These two parks have large greens, basketball courts, and play areas for kids. 

To the east of Constitution Hills is the large First & Main Town Center, an expansive mall complex with many restaurants, large big box stores, and a Cinemark Carefree Circle and IMAX theater. 

Students in Constitution Hills are served by School District 49 and schools in the area are Remington Elementary, Horizon Middle, and Sand Creek High. Sand Creek High School and Remington Elementary School are both within the boundaries of Constitution Hills and within walking distance of many homes therein. 

Peterson Airforce Base is about 10 minutes south of Constitution Hills. 

Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base – 32-minute drive
