History of Falcon, CO
By 1896, The Falcon Land Company, the company the community is now named for, began selling properties to individuals. The area was popular and growing because of the intersecting railroad. At this time, there were two hotels, six pool halls, two general stores, two train depots, a blacksmith shop, and a school.
Roughly forty years later, the automobile diminished the need for the railroad, and a flood washed away what was left of the tracks being used.
It wasn’t until 1984 that the construction of a business complex jump started the growth of Falcon once again. Retail services, like a Safeway and Walmart, were built and the population doubled in ten short years.
The Colorado Springs area is a sought after region for home buyers of all types, and Falcon continues to grow and develop homes for couples and families.
