Gold Hill Mesa is a new residential community located just 10 minutes and 1.5 miles as the crow flies west of downtown Colorado Springs. The boundaries of Gold Hill Mesa are the Midland Expressway (U.S. Highway 24) to the north, 21st Street to the west, Rio Grande Street to the south, and the area including A-1 Mobile Village and Foot of the Rockies RV Park to the east. 

Broadly speaking, Gold Hill Mesa falls within the area commonly known as Old Colorado City. Manitou Springs lies to the west, West Colorado Springs is to the north, and areas like Sky Park and Broadmoor are to the south. Bear Creek Regional Park is the immediate neighbor of Gold Hill Mesa to the south. 

Residents of Gold Hill Mesa benefit from being just a few minutes from both downtown Colorado Springs and Old Colorado City. The I-25 Highway runs by Gold Hill Mesa to the east, providing quick access to Denver  and locations to the south. 

Highway 24, which forms the northern border of the community, connects Colorado Springs to towns and locations west of the front range, including FairPlay and Breckenridge.
