The northern portion of Ivywild is given over to a large commercial area, home to many businesses, mostly auto-related, while the central and southern areas of Ivywild are mostly residential. There is another commercial area along the highway near the intersection with the I-25, although that area is more geared towards restaurants and convenience stores.
Once a relatively depressed and overlooked area, Ivywild has recently undergone a period of revitalization due to its fantastic location and stock of stylish older homes.
Ivywild’s neighbors include Downtown Colorado Springs to the north, Stratton Meadows to the east, Broadmoor to the south, and Skyway to the west.
