Patty Jewett is an older neighborhood in the Colorado Springs area and, as such, follows a similar pattern to most other older suburban areas. This includes wide grid-patterned streets with double sidewalks, long setbacks, and mature trees. 

The homes themselves are smaller, ranging from just under 1,000 square feet to around 2,500 square feet for larger examples. Common design features include cottage or bungalow layouts with vinyl siding and simple sash windows. Almost all homes also have brick chimneys and either an offset entry or a small porch. Parking is typically limited to a single attached unit, along with driveway or carport options. 


Other home styles on display in Patty Jewett include Craftsman, Farmhouse, and Victorian. Just south of the golf course is a large complex of low rise apartment buildings for the most affordable entry into this highly desirable real estate market.

Patty Jewett is a large neighborhood located in northeast Colorado Springs, a short distance from the downtown area and home to the Patty Jewett Golf Course. 


The borders of Patty Jewett are Uintah Street to the south, Union Boulevard to the south, the CanAm Highway to the west, and Constitution Avenue and the Rock Island Trail to the north. Neighboring communities include Belleville to the northeast, Shooks Run to the south, and Old North End to the west. 


From most points in Patty Jewett, Downtown Colorado Springs is less than 10 minutes away. 


Most of Patty Jewett’s area is given over to established residential streets. There is also the well-known Patty Jewett Golf Course, home to the Patty Jewett Reservoir, which feeds a creek that runs to the south. Part of the Shooks Run Trail runs through the area from north to south, and the Rock Island Trail runs by to the north.


Residents of Patty Jewett also benefit from the CanAm Highway and Nevada Avenue which forms the area’s western boundary. This main access route links central Colorado Springs with Denver to the north.

The Patty Jewett Golf Course is one of the oldest in the country and has been owned by the city since 1919. The course is a full 18-hole par 72  complete with clubhouse and training facilities. Another highlight of this course is that it’s host to the Patty Jewett Bar & Grill, a popular eatery. 


The area around Patty Jewett is home to many facilities, attractions, and amenities as well. For example, there is the UCHealth Memorial Hospital and US Olympic Training Center to the south and Colorado College and Monument Valley Park to the southwest.
