St. Andrews is located in northeastern Colorado Springs between the western side of Palmer Park and Union Boulevard. St. Andrews has 3 entrances off Templeton Gap Road which is accessible off Union Boulevard. St. Andrews’ main streets are Muirfield Drive and Masters Drive, off of which a number of small cul-de-sacs branch towards Palmer Park.
In all, Saint Andrews covers around 0.1 square miles. The northern border is marked by Austin Bluffs Parkway and the Templeton Gap Trail. The Palmer Point Trail runs by most of the eastern boundary of Saint Andrews. Muirfield Drive bends around the bluff towards the south, extending the community eastward to some large stately homes overlooking the Colorado Springs Country Club, which borders the southern edge of Saint Andrews.
Saint Andrews is approximately 10 minutes from central downtown Colorado Springs to the southwest. The University of Colorado Springs is about 5 minutes away to the northwest.
Saint Andrews’ neighbors include Cragmor, the UCCS Campus, Garden Ranch, Highland, Ocho Caballos, and Venetian Village.
Saint Andrews Amenities
St. Andrews is a small residential community and, as such, as no amenities of its own. However, this doesn’t prevent the residents of St. Andrews from enjoying some of the best locations and facilities in Colorado Springs.
For a start, there are the already mentioned Palmer Park and Colorado Springs Country Club. Palmer Park has miles of trails along scenic natural bluffs and rocky outlooks. Residents can hike, jog, or bike the trails enjoying the views and nature. The country club offers the use of tennis courts, pools, a clubhouse, and a world-class golf course. Other parks in the area include Grant Park, Union Meadows, Garden Ranch Park, Danville Park, and Portal Park.
Just a short distance west of St. Andrews is the Grace Center for Athletics with a baseball field, soccer field, track, and football field. The University of Colorado Springs is also closeby, making St. Andrews a great neighborhood for students. To the east of Palmer Park is a large commercial area along Academy Boulevard with many businesses, services, stores, and more. Most notable is the Marketplace at Austin Bluffs shopping mall.
